“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” – Henry David Thoreau
I’m four days in, and thus far Wellington is everything that I’d hoped it be. It’s equestrian heaven! I went to Whole Foods over the weekend, and every other person was in breeches; I finally found someplace where that’s 100% acceptable! Not to mention, the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center and surrounding area are gorgeous, and the weather is tough to beat. (It’s been consistently in the high 70s to low 80s since I got here.)
While I’m here I’m juggling my new job with Phelps Media Group
International and PhelpsSports, while maintaining 20-25 hours a week with my other job at Affinity Connection, so it’s already quite the whirlwind, but I love it! There’s just something about a fast-paced, deadline-driven lifestyle that I love, and it definitely keeps me on my toes.
Before I dive into the highlights of my time here thus far, there’s one important thing that I wanted to mention. Unfortunately, I won’t get to blog or post any of the good pictures of the exciting places I go, people I meet or events that I cover. All quality photos that I take related to the Winter Equestrian Festival, any Phelps Media Group clients, etc. are property of Phelps Sports or Phelps Media Group and can’t be shared on Facebook, blogs or any other social media outlets. To see my photos and news, subscribe to PhelpsSports.com and keep tabs on PhelpsMediaGroup.com.

This weekend I had “trial by fire” if you will, and dove right into covering my first event – the George Morris Horsemastership Training Clinics. I learned a lot and had fun interviewing George and the riders for my first two articles for PhelpsSports.com.
Tomorrow, I’ll be headed to the WEF Press Conference so more to come soon!
