Before and After: Modern Country Bathroom Remodel!

Our bathroom transformation!

I love about 10 million different things about my fiancé, Justin, but one of them that seriously never ceases to amaze me is just how unbelievably handy he is. Seriously. It boggles my mind. He just does stuff! So impressive.

He’s currently slowly transforming his (our future) first home into my absolutely ideal modern, country, equestrian-style home, and one of the first of his larger undertakings was the bathroom!

With the help of his dad, Justin transformed the bathroom from this:

to this!:

Maybe for the next project blog, I’ll ask Justin to guest blog so that he can take you through more of the ins and outs than I can! But here are the basics!

Justin and his dad first knocked out the wall and re-worked everything to add about an extra two feet to what was an extremely small bathroom!

Goodbye, old wall!
Hello, new wall!

From there, it was fun getting to weigh in on the decisions for things like the tile, tub and shower (from Lowe’s), vanity (inexpensive from IKEA), and faucet and light fixtures (from Lowe’s)…

…and then seeing Justin get them all installed and turned into a finished product that I’m excited about!

My primary contribution was helping to pick out the decor for finishing touches! We found the little hanging shelving and everything on it (with the exception of the Fontana Candle) at my newest obsession, Hobby Lobby. (It’s like your basic girl’s home decor Pinterest board IRL. And. I. Love. It.)

I can’t wait to share a lot more home projects as Justin and I (okay, really only Justin) work(s) on them!!
